ACC Considering Schedule Change

The addition of Stanford, California and SMU might work in football, but it is proving to be a disaster In all of the other sports. I heard Sean Moth commenting on it’s effect on baseball and suspect the ACC will address the issue very soon.

Hilarious. Maybe if the league cared about more than Duke and UNC all these years a few other programs could sustain something. UVA had their run congrats.

The biggest issue is Duke gets funneled 5* in abundance, but even UNC is mid these days, and nobody else other than Louisville is making any real noise lately. Let's be real they don't really want Louisville to be making noise either. Adjustments to schedule isn't going to fix the fact that the programs aren't making noise with NIL and the portal. Duke, Louisville.... meh. All these other programs are just mid at best right now and are not showing much.

The recent coaching changes at Syracuse, VT, Miami, FSU, UVA, NCST, and UNC go a long way to explaining the decline in ACC Basketball and why Duke, Clemson and UL have optimism for the future.

Coaching matters!

None of these coaches in this league are all that accomplished. I like our guy in a supportive kind of way for sure. He has shown competence and has the marketing portion of Louisville basketball mastered.

All we know about Scheyer is he has mastered how to be on the receiving end of a massive # of 5* players.

The Clemson HC is mid. Our guy hasn't won an NCAAT game yet.

It's about the $. Programs that spend are going to compete. Maybe the HCs gain momentum if the NIL keeps flowing. UNC is probably somewhere in-between on it right now, thinking their tradition is going to prevail, maybe they are spending some $, but they aren't crushing the portal, and they have been mid a few years now and while I actually do like their updated roster it's TBD if it's going to work out for them with this guy coaching them.
