"They definitely for the first visit set the standard really high and showed me a lot of really good things," Henderson told Cardinal Authority. "They made it hard for the other schools that I am going to visit. They did a great job."

"The visit was just really good," Henderson said. "I really, really enjoyed myself and they treated me like family. It was good to get to meet and talk with coach Kelsey and the other coaches and I got to hang out with the players. I really liked it there a lot."

Lol in laymans terms they have offered me the most money so far....I really dislike what this NIL has turned into.

Shadow, I appreciate all the work you're doing, finding all this stuff, but I think you're wasting your time trying to track these HS recruits. I just don't think we're in the market for any elite players right now. I don't know if it's by choice or circumstances, but the end result is the same.

Kelsey has zero achievements to point to at UofL right now obviously, having just gotten hired, so the only thing he can do until he gets some significant wins is recruit HS hard.

He can't afford to look like he's doing nothing after the last coaching staff. He's better off having people complain "Kelsey whiffed on another one!" rather than "Kelsey's not doing anything, is he out on the golf course like the last guy?" At least we know he's trying.

He can't recruit the Portal right now so he's stuck recruiting HS players that he probably can't get. I don't think Kelsey can come out and say "I'm not recruiting elite HS players" right now. But the odds of him landing any of these guys, much less a particular elite player, are just so small. And it's questionable whether they fit in with our program at all in the NIL/Portal era.

I'd say our fanbase as a whole is better off ignoring HS recruiting. If we happen to land a random Top 100 player out of HS, great. But these 5-star guys, I just don't think any of them are coming. And I don't even know if I hope I'm wrong.

I'll keep posting things like recruit visits but I can cut back on the minute details of the roller coaster for each recruit. I'm sure you all would rather read about actual commits when they happen. I would too.
