Landing Ament and Brown would be a great young nucleus to have with returning players and portal guys. Some elite athleticism, passing, and shooting.
i have a feeling the terms "landing' a recruit doesn't apply to CPK like it does normally as it implies that we got lucky to get this kid. i think he's so analytics driven that they chose who they want instead of a kid choosing us. i think the future will be kids saying how lucky they got an offer like the dozens of others they get, it's a privilege to play here, and only the best are welcome under CPK.
Kelsey definitely has a lot of criteria he follows before he offers a player. Talked about it in a previous thread that PK will call and talk to all the player's previous coaches as far back as he can to get a bead on what type of guy and player the person really is among other things.
That said, Adidas helped get Mikel Brown Jr. to come here and might do the same with Ament. You know NIL money also goes a long way with most of these guys though that can't be the only thing driving them or PK says he won't recruit them. The #1 player is going to BYU instead of Duke, Kansas, UNC, etc. because they are paying him supposed millions.
