Louisville will take at least five defensive backs in this class, and most likely, two will be safties, and one will play the "Card" position. This year they return Jack Fagot (R-Jr.), Russ Yeast (Sr.), Isaiah Hayes (R-Sr.), and Telly Plummer (Jr.) at safety. In coming early enrollee, Lovie Jenkins will play safety and fellow incoming freshman Josh Minkins could also see reps there even though he'll get a shot at cornerback first. With Yeast and Hayes leaving next year, finding two safeties to fill their spots will be a top priority for the Cards this cycle.
