2015 - 4 Seed
2014 - 4 Seed
2013 - 1 Seed
2012 - 4 Seed
2011 - 4 Seed
2010 - 9 Seed
2009 - 1 Seed
2008 - 3 Seed
2007 - 6 Seed
2006 - NIT

So over the past 10 years UofL seeding is as follows:

1 Seeds - (2)
2 Seeds - (0)
3 Seeds - (1)
4 Seeds - (4)
5 Seeds - (0)
6 Seeds - (1)
7 Seeds - (0)
8 Seeds - (0)
9 Seeds - (1)
10-16 Seeds - (0)
NIT - (1)

One Final Four as a 4-seed and one as a 1-seed. (2005 final four team was a 4-seed as well) I think this is pretty special to think only once in the past 10 years has Louisville missed the tournament and that was 10-years ago. This is a true hallmark of a great program. Over 70% of the seeds have been 4 seed or higher. Another feather in the cap of the program. All the while navigating through 4 different conferences in 10 seasons! Amazing!

Why measure ourselves just against UK? I'd say its one of the top few runs in the last 10 years by any team. As for UK, their last 10 years includes 4 years of Tubby/Drunk, so I doubt they would even be in the top 10, although Calipari has had them dialed in pretty well the last 6 years, the NIT notwithstanding.

You get rewarded for playing in a better conference. Last year team was better, and had a much better resume yet the seeds are the same. And not to mention last years bracket was MUCH harder than this years.
