    D--n, a recruiting loss.

Next years team defense makes me a little sick to my stomach to think about. This years defense is a disaster and we're losing nearly every big name player on it. Alexander, Hearns, Young, Washington, Thomas.

THE FOUR YEAR CYCLE of Coach Bobby Petrino

Not a chance anyone pays that. He's 32-17 (of those 32 wins only 10 are against teams with winning records) during the last 4 years, 1-9 vs ranked teams, been blown out twice in 3 years in his bowl games and has bad losses to UK, Wake, BC, UVA, Literally his best wins are against a Notre Dame...

THE FOUR YEAR CYCLE of Coach Bobby Petrino

There is absolutely 0.0% chance that Jurich and Petrino both end up at Tennessee. Regardless of Jurich's involvement he's just been fired amid a massive scandal and Petrino has done very little to make any elite school want to hire him. Especially at places like Florida, Nebraska and Tennessee...

On the off chance Bobby leaves

Petrino isn't getting fired or poached. If he were to leave then I hope and pray that the coaching search would start and end with Jeff Brohm.

    Tailgating Chat yesterday

The naming rights are not necessarily owned by Papa Johns Inc. They are owned by John Schnatter. He can technically name it whatever he wants even if he leaves Papa Johns. The most recent information I can find on the naming rights contract seem to state that Papa Johns has the rights through...

    Chances Jackson comes back?

He's gone. The NFL has enough tape on him to evaluate him as a QB. There's nothing more a year of college is going to give him or the NFL scouts. From what I've read most have him as a top 50 pick and that's certainly good enough to leave.

Will Rick ever coach a D-1 School again?

Exactly. Its why I don't ever expect him to coach again. Pitino's legacy is forever tainted regardless of what comes out of the investigation. Sypher, Powell, Bowen....three major scandals that's attached to his name regardless of his level of involvement. I would be absolutely stunned if any P5...

Virginia, Syracuse, and UK games may determine Petrino's future at UofL

I didn't say he would get fired. I don't think there's any on field scenario that can play out that will result in him getting fired but he's done absolutely nothing since returning to Louisville that would make an elite program consider hiring him and I fully stand by that statement. Putting up...

Virginia, Syracuse, and UK games may determine Petrino's future at UofL

That he did.... How's that gone since then? UL looked much better last year but signs of inconsistency and collapse reared their head last year too I'll refresh.....Since FSU last year...nearly lost to Duke and UVA,played like pure crap and was losing to Wake for 3 quarters, got EMBARRASSED...

Virginia, Syracuse, and UK games may determine Petrino's future at UofL

Jurich was always really good at throwing Louisville's money around.

Virginia, Syracuse, and UK games may determine Petrino's future at UofL

There isn't going to be a coaching change this off season regardless of what happens on the field. There will likely be openings at UF, UT, Nebraska, Texas A&M and I don't think there's any way that any would sniff Petrino. I know his name has been connected to UT but I still don't believe it...

Will Rick ever coach a D-1 School again?

I mean, I'm not arguing with you or trying to convince you. I just found it surprising is all. The opinion of myself and my little group of Louisville friends has always been that Louisville is the only school in the country that would have tolerated the level of embarrassment the Sypher...

Will Rick ever coach a D-1 School again?

Seriously? I wholeheartedly disagree. He may have survived a few places for the Sypher thing (I doubt that, but will concede it) but honest to God don't think there's another school in the country that would have kept him after Sypher and Powell.

Virginia, Syracuse, and UK games may determine Petrino's future at UofL

I don't think there's an on field scenario that can play out where Petrino would be fired. The university is in too much of an upheaval as it is and there's so many question marks surrounding how much money (if any) the University will owe Jurich and Pitino that there's no way they choose this...

Meltdown going on a few miles down the road...

As long as Mark Stoops is there this is what UK will be...frustrating. Kentucky missed an absolutely wonderful opportunity to make some noise in the East the last 3-4 years and have nothing to show for it. Now UF and UT will be getting new coaches and UGA is back and they're in year 5? I think...

    Bowen May be Reinstated

Actually its my understanding that the burden of proof is on the NCAA to show that Bowen knowingly benefited from his fathers involvement with the money. The big question is whether or not UL wants to even allow Bowen to play for the program.
  17. Strongtino

Will Rick ever coach a D-1 School again?

It depends on what comes out of all of this. I mean if he's shown to be connected to this probe in any way he'll have a 10+ year show cause and thus effectively ending any chance he'll have to coach again. I mean he's 65 with 3 embarrassing scandals on his resume....If cleared he might coach...

    Jurich interview

Maybe I'm naive but I don't see how taking the ULAD down is good for anyone in the state regardless of where you graduated from. I honestly think that people in the state saw financial misconduct going on after the audit showed just that and the ULAD knew that with Tom Jurich in place none of...

    In a heartbeat.

    Bobby haters better think twice

There's absolutely zero chance that Petrino will be fired for various reasons...cost being the biggest factor but the fact that UT and UF will be open isn't good for UL either. Petrino has no doubt been a pretty big disappointment since his return to UL but I think Louisville is stuck with him...
