    Quaintance Asking Price?

Someone should interview him. Would be interesting to hear his take.

Could This Lead To Getting 2013 Title Back?

Wow, if that’s true, it’s a major blunder on the part of university administration, including the AD, Tom Jurich. However, they (the NCAA) may have gone to forfeiture anyway, but went after Rick first. I still think if there were major fines on coaches these types of things would never have...

    Quaintance Asking Price?

Yet another NCAA screwup. How do these clowns keep their jobs? The whole rollout for NIL was done without any thought whatsoever.

Could This Lead To Getting 2013 Title Back?

I never knew this before. Can someone confirm? Also, I don’t know why our “throwing a hissy fit” would affect the NCAA penalty decision. It doesn’t make sense that they would then up it to forfeiture of the NC.

Could This Lead To Getting 2013 Title Back?

PSU got their wins restored but the NCAA has no jurisdiction over a criminal matter. They knee-jerked and had to retreat. Raping little boys in the shower is apparently not an NCAA violation. Skanks in a dorm room was an “impermissible benefit” under NCAA regs though a rather dubious benefit...

    Here’s a thought..

I don't give university presidents much credit for courage, but if they had any, this is the direction to go. It allows them to maintain "professional" student - athlete status while keeping most sports under the traditional model. Anyway, it's a thought.

Could This Lead To Getting 2013 Title Back?

Josh needs to get on this now. Of course, the Heisman committee is one thing, the NCAA is another. They NEVER admit they were wrong.

Could This Lead To Getting 2013 Title Back?

Good for Reggie! Bad for Pete Carroll. He got USC on probation and then skedaddled.

    Here’s a thought..

Pursuant to Glassmanj’s post, I thought that one way to deal with professional college sports is to offer the student-athlete a choice: they can be compensated traditionally, ie., grant-in- aid, with any cash they get earned outside the university- individual NIL deals, or just a part-time job...

The thing about NIL, like it or not, it is the true embodiment of capitalism and the American dream

The minimums (actually minima I believe) just mean the poorest players get more than the free market would pay. It’s not that they wouldn’t play- they still get way more than they could earn at a regular job. So without the minima the players would still be there but playing for less it doesn’t...

The thing about NIL, like it or not, it is the true embodiment of capitalism and the American dream

Salary caps and revenue sharing are necessary to make leagues financially viable and competitive. Players also have incentivized multi-year deals. I think these features will eventually make their way into college sports.
