Happy Monday team. I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. I just posted a new article previewing our big matchup tomorrow night vs Clemson. I will post the link below.

Thanks again for all of your support and warm welcomes. Have a great rest of your day and Go Cards!

What's ahead for this Cards team.

Okay boys and girls, I'm here to tell you all by March Louisville should not only be a tournament team, but a high seeded team.

So far, through six conferences games, the Cards have already played four of the top teams in the conference, winning three of them. The remaining 14 conference games are not so daunting a task to win.

Tell me how many of these games would the Cards be the underdog and where do you see a likely defeat?

@ Cuse 8-8
Virginia 8-8
@ SMU 12-4
Wake Forest 12-4
@ Georgia Tech 8-9
@ BC 9-7
Miami 4-12
@ NC State 9-7
@ ND 7-9
FSU 11-5
@ Virginia Tech 7-9
Pitt 12-4
California 8-8
Standard 11-5

So there you have it. How many wins will Louisville end up with? Playing like they are and no more serious injuries, I forsee something like 23 and 8.

The three losses to SMU, NC State and Pitt. If there's a 4th loss I would see it being Wake or ND.

So 22 or 23 wins would mean no bubble and probably a #5 or #6 seed.

Then there's the conference tournament which I believe is something Kelsey would thrive in. A run to the title game with Duke could move the Cards up to a #4 seed.

This Louisville team has proven to me even limited with injuries, that they are a very good team and due to a historic bad ACC conference, will take full advantage. Coach Kelsey will be ACC coach of the year and a candidate for national coach of the year.

Both men and women's teams

Both the men and women's teams are 12 and 5 and both have won six games in a roll. Both teams five losses have been to ranked opponents.

During this winning streak, the ladies followed the guys win with their own win. It's weird how this has gone on now for three straight weeks.

Now the men are expected to be in the top 25 this week but I wonder if the women will be. The way things are going, both will be ranked the same number.

Also, both teams next opponent is Syracuse.

Georgia Tech getting screwed

I believe the refs in this GT/Vandy game think the team in white has Louisville jerseys on. They are getting royally screwed with clear and obvious bad calls, and they're about to go down two scores due to it.

The GT coach looks like Bob Knight on the sidelines, already receiving a 15 yard penalty. The SEC team benefiting will once again be the controversy, but for me, it's just unbelievable how poor the officiating is in collegiate sports.

FOOTBALL Cards Ready to Battle Washington in 2024 Sun Bowl

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After five days of festivities, the University of Louisville is set to take on Washington in the Sun Bowl on Tuesday in the Sun Bowl at Sun Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. on CBS.

It will be Louisville's second appearance in the Sun Bowl and the first since 1958 when Louisville defeated Drake 34-20. Louisville and Washington will meet for the first time in school history.

Harrison Bailey will make his fourth career start and first att Louisivlle when he faces the Huskies on Tuesday.

Tyler Shough's opt-out of Tuesday's game against the Huskies (6-6) opened the door for Bailey, who played sparingly in coach Jeff Brohm's first two seasons in a career that started at Tennessee and continued at UNLV.

"It's important that they do play well if they want to get a position for next year," Brohm said. "They need to prove themselves in this football game, and we have to make decisions after that, according to how the game goes."

The other key opt-outs for Louisville are 1,000-yard receiver Ja'Corey Brooks, defensive lineman Ashton Gillotte and Quincy Riley, who led the secondary with nine pass breakups and had two interceptions. They are joining Shough in preparing for the NFL draft.

Running back Isaac Brown is the top weapon in the Cardinals' offensive arsenal after rushing for 1,074 yards and 11 touchdowns. He became the first true freshman to rush for 1,000 yards in a seaon and broke Lamar Jackson's freshman rushing record.

Defensively, T.J. Quinn and Stanquan Clark, Louisville's top two tacklers, will lead the UofL defense that has allowed just 23 points over the last two games.

The portal didn't have the same impact on the Washington roster, but the Huskies did lose promising freshman linebacker Khmori House, who transferred to North Carolina.

Freshman Demond Williams Jr. is expected to start at QB for the Huskies after taking over for Will Rogers in a 49-21 loss to top-ranked Oregon in the regular-season finale.

"They are opportunities for players who gave a ton of blood, sweat and tears," said coach Jedd Fisch, who is in his first season at Washington after leading a turnaround at Arizona. "For some reason, we've decided that (bowls) are not as important, and I don't agree. ... If you have a chance to go play in a bowl game, it should be a championship mentality."

Basketball & Football Update

Good morning team - I hope everyone is staying warm and preparing for this second round of snow. I wanted to jump on here to provide a couple of updates.

Basketball:
The UofL @ Pitt preview will be posted later today/early tomorrow morning. Apologies for the delay. Work has been crazy busy with all of the snow and WFH does not help the matter. I appreciate your all's patience.

Football:
After speaking with a source from the football team, I can confirm that Ron English WILL BE RETURNING to the Cards next season. Sounds like he will get another year with the Cards. Had a feeling that was going to happen, but hopefully he can make an improvement from this past season. What are your all's thoughts?

Also, Keyjuan Brown will be returning for the Cards for the 2025/2026 season. That is HUGE for a RB room that is already stacked. I look forward to watching them be one of the best RB rooms in the country next season.

Lasly, piggybacking on my football source. Spoke to him briefly about the offense. I feel that this is no shocker, but I was told that within the locker room, folks think that this could be the best offense we have had so far in Brohm's tenure here. It will be tough to one up Shough last year, but there is alot of hope and talk circulating that Moss can do that, especially with all the weapons we will have. Sounds like it will be a fun group next year.

Go Cards!
