#3 Virginia Tech clinched their seventh ACC series on Sunday afternoon, defeating Louisville 7-4. This is also Tech's fifth conference series sweep.

Senior Keely Rochard (20-2) started in the circle and picked up the win for Virginia Tech (36-6, 18-2). The right-hander went six innings, giving up four runs, one earned, on three hits, allowing four walks and striking out seven. Freshman Emma Lemley also made an impact in the circle for the Hokies, throwing one shutout inning while allowing no hits, with no walks and two strikeouts. Lemley earned her second save of the season.

The Cards battled back from a 3-0 deficit with four runs in the top of the third inning, Carmyn Greenwood getting her 13th home run of the season, but the Louisville bats went silent after that.

Taylor Roby drew the start for Louisville but was pulled after three innings for Taja Felder. Felder takes the loss to go 1-3 on the season. The Cards are 24-20 on the season and are in eighth place in the ACC. UofL welcome Virginia into Ulmer for an upcoming weekend three-game series. The Cavs are in fifth place in the ACC.
