Six division series -- three Atlantic and three Coastal -- highlight the second weekend of the conference schedule, along with an inter-division matchup between NC State and Miami in Coral Cables.

No. 17 Florida State, the only ACC team to get off to a 3-0 start in conference play last weekend, closes out a 14-game homestand against Wake Forest, which is 2-1 in the ACC and hopes to establish itself early as an Atlantic Division contender. The Seminoles are riding the wave of a midweek two-game nonconference sweep of No. 12 UCF. First baseman Quincy Nieporte led the charge for FSU in Wednesday night's second game, going 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of home runs and seven RBIs. Nieporte became the first FSU player since Buster Posey (versus Miami) in 2007 to drive in seven runs in a single game.

Other Atlantic Division series matchups find Notre Dame at Clemson and Boston College at 18th-ranked Louisville.

The Coastal Division slate is highlighted by No. 1 Virginia's visit to rival Virginia Tech, along with Georgia Tech at Duke, and No. 11 North Carolina traveling to Pitt.

With its trip to No. 19 Miami this weekend, NC State continues a stretch in which it plays eight of nine games on the road. The Wolfpack didn't seem to mind on Wednesday night, when Jake Armstrong drove in four runs to key a 9-5 win at No. 22 Florida Atlantic. Miami heads into its ACC home opener following a 7-0 shutout of Stetson on Wednesday night. Sophomore starter Danny Garcia's 11-strikeout performance keyed that win.
