Former Louisville big man Gorgui Dieng is one of twenty NBA players that will be participating in an NBA exhibition game in Africa on Saturday.
The game will feature a Team Africa versus Team World format. Current NBA players from Africa, or second-generation African players, will square off against current NBA players from the rest of the world, including the U.S.
The game will be held after the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders camp and televised live on ESPN. Commissioner Adam Silver, NBA Global Ambassador Dikembe Mutombo of Congo and NBA Africa Ambassador Hakeem Olajuwon of Nigeria also will participate.
Gorgs arrived in Africa earlier this week and has been working with children at the Basketball Without Borders Camp. Apparently he’s not only teaching, but he’s learning as well.
On Thursday afternoon Dieng shared this video of him working on some post moves with “The Dream.”
