The University of Louisville basketball program is practicing for a trip to Puerto Rico later this month and has double sessions both Saturday and Sunday of this week. The Cardinals' staff is also doing a little recruiting, hosting 15 prospects over the weekend. Cardinal Authority has the latest on all the prospects on campus.

It's a busy weekend for the Louisville basketball staff.

The current team is practicing twice on Saturday and twice again on Sunday in preparation for the Aug. 10 trip to Puerto Rico where the Cardinals will play nine games in six days.

And the staff is also doing a lot of recruiting.

U of L will host 15 visitors on Saturday and Sunday during practice, including some of the state's top young talent and several other highly-regarded national prospects from the area.

The only player with a U of L offer at this time visiting this weekend is Brentwood, Tenn., Academy 2018 point guard Darius Garland, who was recently offered by the Cardinals. He visited on Saturday during practice.

Along with Garland on Saturday was New Albany, Ind., 2018 star Romeo Langford, expected to be one of the elite prospects in the '18 class nationally, and Waggener High School 2017 guard DeVon Cooper.

Other 2018 prospects on campus Saturday: Pulaski Southwestern's Steven Fitzgerald and Danny Butt, Fern Creek's Trey Hill, Anthony Wales and Ahmad Price and Mercer County's Trevon Faulkner.

It will be another busy day on Sunday.

Tyger Campbell, a 2019 prospect from Nashville, Tenn., is expected and he's one of the elite prospects nationally in the '19 class. Also expected is Apollo '17 star Trace Young, Hopkinsville '18 standout Jalen Johnson and Christian County '17 wing Jaylen Sebree.

The other standout on Sunday expected is Indianapolis Lawrence North '18 forward Kevin Easley, who already has offers from Indiana and Purdue.
