Poland throws 8 scoreless innings for the Cards. Farris gives up a couple of runs in Top of the 9th, but he hangs tough as the Bullpen man, closes it out! Lot to like about tonight as the Clemson Tigers come in as one of the hotter teams in ACC baseball. Cards / Poland stopped them cold in the series opener. Cards led all the the way, and with the way Poland was pitching, it seemed the game was never in doubt after the third inning when the Cards went up 4 to 0. Poland has clearly established himself as the Cards Ace.
Cards now playing .500 baseball over the last 0 league games, but seemed poised IMO to sweep a Clemson Team, that showed no punch back what so ever against a Cards Teams that IMO, seems to be building some Mojo for the stretch run of the Season. Need another win tomorrow, set the stage for a sweep against a Clemson Team, that seems right for a Broom Sweep. We shall see!
