Let's see if you fans can improve on your performance compared to the 1st 2 trivia questions. Only 46% and 23% correct on those two.

Three current ACC members (Louisville 1912, Miami 1927, and Folrida St. 1947) didn't start playing football until the 20th century. Of the remaining 11 that first suited up in the 19th century, how many fielded teams prior to 1890?

Oops! The question shown on the thread title and on the poll says "...since 1990?" Intended to say "...since 1890?". I can't figure out how to edit the thread title or the poll question, so I'll have to leave it as it is, but it's not a trick question!!

The results might improve with more artfully posed questions. I like the idea of your posts, but the first one was hard to understand.

Syracuse, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, and Wake Forest are the 5 teams who started playing before 1890. Notre Dame 1st played in 1887, but was not a part of this poll, since the question identified 3 teams and asked who of "the other 11". .
So the correct answer: 5.

Congrats to the 1 pollster who got this one right.
