Josh Rogers from New Albany vs Trent Astle from Jeff. These 2 have been rivals since they were 10 yrs old all through little league, travel ball, high school, and now college. Both were considered two of the top lefties in the state all through high school.
The crazy thing is they never went head to head because of match ups and josh never pitched against Jeff in regular season games so the anticipation of them meeting in sectionals their senior year was huge pre season but sadly Josh had to have surgery 2 games in so it never happened.
Trent lead Xavier to a conference tournament championship and a trip to the Nashville regional last season and had the lead over Oregon when they pulled him. Like J-Rog, he has had a couple rough outings to start the season so Sunday could be pretty interesting on both sides.
